TJ Schulz

TJ earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering in 2001 from Michigan Technological University before joining Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation as a Field Service Engineer where he earned the best in class “Top Gun Award” while enrolled in the Engineer In Training program. He was born and raised in the industry while located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and being involved with the core engineering, management and union labor teams remaining from the nuclear and coal fired steam turbine construction boom and regulated power industry maintenance programs.

Rising through the ranks of the Field Service Division, his career path included the challenges of managing steam turbine, gas turbine and generator maintenance projects; combined cycle total plant new constructions; and aggressively scheduled nuclear refueling outage equipment upgrades and repowering projects. He ultimately was a founding member of an internal Siemens niche group managing the implementation of some of the most complex projects in the industry resulting from catastrophic loss events both domestically and internationally.

After almost 20 years of loyal service with Siemens, TJ decided to apply his unique skill set with MGTA Group in the support of Insurers, many associated with large catastrophic losses. His addition to the MGTA Group Team provides a younger face with excellent talents to properly support the needs of Insurers, and thereby Owners, involved with each assignment. TJ enhances the many years of experience already available from the Group with his diverse background on large projects and the unique requirements of Insurers.
