Mark Bremmer

Mark earned a BSME in 1983 from the University of Pittsburgh, with a Minor in Mathematics, after which he immediately went to work for Westinghouse Electric’s Nuclear division. In 1984, he transferred to Plant Vogtle in Waynesboro, Georgia and in 1987, Mark was transferred to Westinghouse’s Combustion Turbine division in Orlando, Florida where he gained extensive knowledge of combustion turbine operation and maintenance.

He was instrumental in developing a materials packaging system and long-term maintenance program for combustion turbines, including preparing detailed proposals for combined cycle plants at various international locations. In 1991, Mark became a Project Manager responsible for the turnkey installation of combined cycle plants from start to finish, both domestic and international, with typical plant installed capacity exceeding 500 megawatts and project costs in excess of 600 million dollars.

Mark used his combustion turbine knowledge and international experience with M.G. Thomas & Associates, Inc. since 2001, supporting Insurance Loss Adjusters and Underwriters worldwide. Support included evaluation of losses associated with gas and steam turbines and generators, providing repair estimates and solutions for claim resolution. Claim values range up to 100 million US dollars and include all manufacturers.
