Alex Reimers

Alex graduated from Iowa State University with a BSME.  After a short period working in upstream oil and gas, he entered power generation as an Engineer at MidAmerican Energy Company.  Alex progressed into a Project Management position providing engineering and management services on gas and steam turbine overhauls along with various other projects in coal and gas fueled facilities.  In 2015 Alex entered the renewable sector overseeing projects on geothermal and wind assets for Berkshire Hathaway Energy Renewables.  Alex continued in renewables at MidAmerican Energy managing wind construction projects, solar developments, battery energy storage, and a wind repowering portfolio of over 1200 turbines.  During that time Alex continued to work special projects and assist with the fossil fueled generation fleet as requested. 

In 2021 Alex cofounded a renewable technical services company, leading the engineering efforts and major/special projects.  His creative problem solving approach supported expanded service offerings and unique solutions for customers.  Alex’s broad areas of practice enhances MGTA’s ability to support all generation asset categories with proven experience.
